Pima Cotton
A cotton known for its unusual softness, silkier fibres, and smooth fabric compared with regular cotton. Actually a slightly different plant it is one of the varieties that has extra long staples of the cotton fibres and so is softer, stronger and has both pill and wrinkle resistance.
Extra Long Staple cotton only comprises about 7% of cotton available and of which Pima is just over a third. Grown in Peru and South West USA and is named after a Native American tribe from Arizona.
